My next problem became what is the filler. I didn't have enough of the bead I usually make them of but, I still wanted them to be colorful. I was starting to give up on the idea when I came across an idea written by a mother whose daughter could play outside or something like that. And she didn't want to have sand inside but, she wanted her daughter to be able to have the experience. So she died rice. I figured if she could do it so could I. I did and it was fun and easy to make. The picture below is the rice drying. Once I mixed the colors together they looked like fruity pebbles. YUM!!
The things for the kids however weren't quite as bright, I added white rice to their bottle just as filler.
The kids each got to pick out two additional items to add to their bottles. The really thought carefully about this choice. Except Zack, he just had to have two basketballs. I had taken my camera cause I wanted to get pictures of the kids making theirs, but I was to into it and forgot. I can however say that Luke and Sam's face lite up as they poured there rice into the bottles. Sam was oh so careful and used the measuring cup to pour his rice in the funnel, where as Luke carefully use the funnel then wanted to feel the rice and put some in with his hand. Can't blame him, the stuff really looked cool and felt pretty neat. Both of them really liked shaking the funnel and watching the rice come out.
After we finished putting them together and they finally realized that they were trying to find stuff in the bottles that was neat to watch. (I think one or two may not have realized what the bottle was.) Zack got really excited every time he found the house in his and really excited once he found both the basketballs he put in. Sam and Luke were really fun to see when they were showing me their bottles and had their eureka moments when they realized some that was in it they put in it.
Can you guess which three kids I mostly had around me? Anyway, I really enjoyed being back in their. I enjoyed all the hugs I kept getting from Justice. Playing with Sam and Luke like we use to always do, weird voices and all. Even heard a remark that they had never seen Sam so interactive. Sam was a total crack up. We were playing with the puppets and then his new goal became get all the puppets away from me. I'm guessing cause each new puppet brought a different voice or action. Gavin once he realized what was going on decided to help me get more puppets so he would get them from Sande and bring them back to me. In time to have them snatched away again. Clark and Emily just got a kick out of watching everything. Especially when my puppet was gone and my naked hand tried to talk to them. Emily then tried talking with her hand.
I could go on about all the little things that probably wouldn't mean much to others but, to me it was priceless. It was a nice Sunday at church with lots of laughter, hugs and smiles.

Gavin loves his "shaker." LOVES it. Thanks!
