Yesterday after I came to the decision that I was being tested and that I would not give in several things happened. First off the rental company said that we could split the extra 10% we had to pay between our next two paychecks. Then John called to say that he was going to be getting a hundred dollars more from the TDY he just went on, than he expected. Then during family home evening, there was a knock on our door. It was the bishop with an envelope. In this envelope was basically another miracle and a nice lesson to boot for the whole family.
****We interupt this blog for a special message*****
Thank you to the person who sent the envelope. At first I felt really bad cause I wasn't trying to solicit anything from my blog entry. I just wanted to write my feelings. At the same time I think my kids thought I had lost my mind. I kept crying on and off during family home evening. I just couldn't get the tears to stop leaking out my eyes. Anyway, please know that your gift truly touched my heart and I will without pay it forward first chance I get.
****We know return to our regularly scheduled blogging. ****
Things will still be tight for the next little while. However, they are manageable and not something that has me trying to figure out how on earth I'm going to make it to see my baby girl. I always knew that as long as you pay your tithing things work out. I just didn't realize they could work out so quickly.
Please note I still really want tithing envelopes at home. Why take the chance at being tempted. When I can just mail it and it's gone. Maybe that is just part of the test and a lesson in self control.

Great story! What a blessing.
ReplyDeleteWow! I just read both your posts and it sounds like your prayers were heard and answered quickly! I wish I got that fast of a response :). I agree that having those envelopes around the house REALLY helps! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYour story helped me. I looked for a tithing envelope in my church bag this morning. There were none in my endless mess of a bag. But your blog helped me remember to grab some and keep them handy so that we make sure not to forget to pay tithing too.
ReplyDeleteYou are an amazing person. I also know how very important tithing and fast offerings are. Your strength in all is awesome, thanks for sharing so we all know how important and strong your testimony and faith is.
ReplyDeleteAwesome post! What a testimony builder to us all. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad things worked out for you and that you get to see you daughter.
