Currently on Mondays & Thursdays we have a standing dinner date with the Porter family. This entry, with pictures by Jordan is what happened on our last one.

It's Halloween so naturally I'm going to dress up. IN case you are unfamiliar, I am dressed as a Trill working for the federation.

Unfortunately, the years have not been so kind to me. As demonstrated below. This is me Monday night.

And this is John and I ten years ago when I made the costumes and they actually fit. Yes I was a trill then too.

Anyway back to Monday. We went to the Porters and this was dinner. It was DELICIOUS. It was sloppy joes in a pumpkin crust. It was really, really good no kidding.

After dinner it was time for FHE also a monday standing date. It was my turn to conduct. (Ugg, my belly is trying to break free)

Jordan gave the lesson. To start with she gave us each a bottle and told us to drink it as fast as we could it was a race. It appears Cindy just wants to squirt hers into her mouth

Look at Chris go. Yes Sandie did drink hers too.

Everyone else working on their bottles. Tiffany had a hard time not laughing. Even Brielle the little girl I watch had a really hard time drinking her bottle.

Was there a point to the lesson. Of course there was. For starters has anyone ever seen a baby drink a bottle. If you have you know they can down them in no time. Why is that? Simple they drink from them everyday. Understanding the scriptures is the same as drinking from a bottle. IF we read them often then they are easier to understand and digest. However, if we don't read daily, it can more of a challenge. I could go on with comparisons but I'm sure you get the gist.

Chris was in charge of treats they are below. Grasshopper cookies with frosting and hersheys kisses. They make an excellent witch hat.

After family home eveing, the kids gave out candy in their costumes. Below is Chris, please note he still has his bottle.

Below is Tiffany. She got a kick out of scaring the older kids when they would grab their candy.

Ryan of course eventually wanted to join in the scaring of older kids.

And Jordan was right there with them the whole way.
