declutter project

Okay so ever since I started using pinterest I have been reading blogs about organizing and decluttering. Today I finally decided to put some of that into action. I started with my closet/clothes. One of the blogs I read said take a picture before and after so you can see the difference. so I did. The next two pictures are my closet and clothes. I know I'm a pig.

As I cleaned out my closet I asked myself a couple questions

1. Is it stained?

2. Do I love it?

3. Do I love how it looks on me.?

If the clothing passed all those questions I hung it up, unless it was an iffy item. You know something you really love and are determined to grow back into. But you've been hanging onto it for years. Well, I tried those items on and most it was pretty easy to see I should get rid of.

Anyway, Long story short below is the after picture.

it was amazing how much of what I actually had was garbage clothes (holes & stains) Now I need to try to get the hubby and daughter to do this.
