Yearly Time Capsule
This is an idea I took off a blog, wish I could remember which. Anyway, I really like it and decided I wanted to make it as well. More or less it's a yearly time capsule. All I did is find a clearish ornaments, from my gazillion ornaments. The I cut strips of paper and wrote significant things that have happened in 2009 on them. For example, in our house there was two operations. I wrote them both on separate paper. Two people became official drivers, 1 official dater and 1 official dance goer. Anyway those are some of the things written about. Roll the strips up and put them in the ornament and wa la... Almost forgot I also I wrote 2009 on the base of the snowman in the picture. Next year, I want everyone that's at home to participate in writing them. I did it myself this year cause I was packing up ornaments when I decided to do it.
What's going on?
Here's the other project I just completed. My kids always seem to be coming and going. So i needed a better way to keep track. So I used the door to the garage. Let me start by saying it's a metal door. So I covered it with contact paper. Then made all the papers and other magnetic do da's . Click on the pics to see them better. Don't ask about the doritos. JD insists on keeping that bag. It's been around since summer.
Anyway that's what I've been up to. Now to finish another project.
I love the door idea! Something to file away for when my kids are older!
