Countdown

When we were at my brother's house on Christmas eve we saw some count down blocks that she had out. I've seen these all over the place on the Internet and have thought about making some. It wasn't till my sis-in-law (Nichole) said that she made some for Halloween and birthdays too, that the desire really clicked in. Even Jordan said something about really wanting some for birthdays.

So, last night I dug into my bottomless pit of things I save. Found some blocks and went to work. A little mode podge and tissue paper and Wa la. Now if I could just find my scrap booking stickers/letters. I want the bottom block to say countdown to a special day.

In other news, John was finally able to get shots in his back again. Yeah!!! he already seems happier. I hate seeing and hearing him in constant pain. For those of you that don't know, the bones in his lower back are fusing or deteriorating or something. I never can remember medical mumbo jumbo very well. Let's just say his back is bad. He can't sit for very long or lay for very long or move or jump or do any of those fun outdoor things we use to love to do. He's also had a headache since we've moved to the springs (dec 2006). How bad it hurts changes. My poor husband is almost always in pain. I keep telling him he needs to ask someone for a blessing but, he always finds that an awkward thing to do. I think as the wife I have it easy. I don't think twice if I want a blessing. I just ask him. For him though it would require bugging someone. Maybe when we go to Texas he'll ask for one after all my grandpa and a couple uncles will be right there. No inconvenience. Honestly though, I don't think he'll ask anyone.

I have a hearing test scheduled for the 28th, guess we'll find out if my hearing is going or if my attention span just really bites. I'm guessing both.
