More sporadic ramblings

I'm such a slacker when it comes to updating my blog. I need to try be more diligent. Let's see what's happened.

So many things have happened, that may not seem like much to some people but they are important to me. So here they go in no particular order.

I found Pam. She was my best friend in 7th grade. My family moved away from the area before 8th grade. She was the first best friend I ever remember having. She was the sister I never had.
I couldn't believe the day that I found her mom on facebook, then her. I have missed her so much. It means the world to me that she is back in my life again.

Weird as it sounds,I am so very thankful for facebook. I am glad that so many of the people that have meant so much to me through out my life are once again in my life through this site. True I may not have a lot to say to them or them to me. But it's just nice to have them there. To be able to throw a virtual snowball at them, hear tidbits of their lives, get tidbits of help and information from them. Mostly I just like knowing that they are there. I use to think because we moved so often in my life that I missed out on having the life long friends that others seemed to have. It always seemed that every time we moved I would lose all my friends and have to start over. Now as I look as the friends I have I facebook I can't help but to feel overwhelmed.
so many people have touched my life and made it better and I have them right there within a keyboards reach. I can't even begin to explain how much that means to me. And just like in real life it's often the little things that seem to mean the most.

I am also thankful for how facebook has brought so much of my family back into my life. I never really felt like I was part of the family. I felt like our family has often been the black sheep of the family. But now, I have so many of them in my life. I love it. I love reading about them. responding to different tid bits and just the feeling of being part of such an awesome family. I have cousins, brothers, parents, grandparent, uncles and aunts all right there.

okay I seem to have gotten off track. I guess I named my blog appropriately. Anyway (that word ALWAYS makes me think of Katrina), back to what I was saying. What was I talking about? Wait, I remember. Things that have been going on. I've written a book. It's a collection of twisted fairy tales. I just need to edit it and get Robin to sketch some pictures then I'm going to use blurb to make her and I a copy.

I also had a pregnancy scare. **warning Girly stuff** I missed my period three months in a row and I was steadly gaining weight and my body seemed to be taking shape. It was literally freaking me out. I can see the light at the end of the kids living at home tunnel and the idea of starting over. Sorry seriously freaked out. My biggest question after where's the home pregnancy tests was where's the at home sperm count test. The hubby was fixed eons ago. I wanted to know how many swimmers if any were around. That way I would know if it were all in my head or if his body healed itself. Anyway, I'm not having another baby. Life is back to normal. Yea!!

Let's see what else. We spent thanksgiving with the Birrells. I love that family. I'm afraid we may have bored them to death. After the eating I was so very tired. There was tons of food and good friends. So I was very comfortable and falling asleep on my feet. I feel so bad that we weren't more entertaining. By the way Robin I want to know how to make those carrots and the cherry pie. My favorites!

Well that's about it for now. This is already to long a post.
