I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what to make people for christmas. Usually by now I have a good head start. I finally came up with something inexpensive and possibly a starter for chaos. I'm making marshmallow shooters. I've got a total of 22 to make for my family, my brothers, their families and my parents. Plus 16 for some special friends and their families. Plus 20 if I do John's family. It goes by really quick making them. The slow part is about to begin. I want to paint all of them. I'm seriously looking forward to hearing about the chaos from their use. I absolutely love the idea that I'm teaching my little nieces and nephews that food can also be used as a toy. That and their perfectly clean houses having marshmallows all about.
So a total of 58 shooters shouldn't be a problem. Thanks to my exceptionally messed up math mind. I have always hated math and always will. Anyway I was doing the math everything was good until I skipped a step. For some reason my brain forgot that the pvc poles were 10 ' long and not a 1' long. When I went to the store I had only planned on buying enough to make 10 shooters. BUt thanks to my absentminded brain. I bought more than enough to makes shooters for the whole ward if I wanted to. Okay, not the "whole" ward.
Yesterday a friend asked me to snap a couple pictures of her family. So I did unfortunately getting three kids to cooperate was another story. Out of the hundred that I took there is only one good pic of the family. Here it is:

You would be the best aunt ever. Good luck painting all of them.
ReplyDeleteI can see the difference on the big photos!

ReplyDeleteOne good pic is all you need! Thank goodness for digital! The marshmallow shooters sound GREAT, and you will be the coolest auntie ever. Two Christmases ago my cousin sent the boys these screaming monkeys that you could launch to fly off your fingers. The boys loved them! And still do. The parents on the other hand....
