Just touching base

It's been forever since I posted so I figure, it's time. Okay now my mind is totally blank.......

updates, Josie has joined the Air Force, she has enlisted for six years. Right now she's waiting to receive her report date. John's betting she'll get it 8 weeks before Oct. Me I have no clue.

Jeremy, we hardly see him anymore. He's always with his friends.

JD is at this very moment looking at his scout book trying to see what he needs to work on.

Jordan has been volunteering at the library.

For the most part the summer has been pretty boring. Wait... we did go camping. Over the 4th of July weekend. It rained, it poured, it hailed, we were wet, we froze, we laughed, we played, we ate, we busted our car and I got very sick one night. Overall I loved it. I really enjoyed hanging out with humans other than my family. I feel like that just doesn't happen often. The other families that camped with us were the Porters, Leftwich's and Birrell's. Wonderful families!

We've also been to what feels like several military picnics. Most of which were okay. Kinda boring at the same time. The people he works with here just aren't as closely knit as they use to be when were first married. I really miss being able to hang out with other families the way we did then.

John made Master. He will sew it on Sept 1. Meanwhile we have all the traditional Military stuff to deal with. This Friday is the Formal induction ceremony. I just found out it's formal Monday. So I searched non-stop for a dress yesterday. Joy, Not! I hate trying things on.

Especially since I've gained so much weight. I have actually managed to pass my heaviest pregnancy weight. I wish so badly that I was addicted to exercise. It would also help if I had someone to help push and encourage me to exercise, not to mention someone to exercise with would be awesome.

well I got run I have video games that won't play themselves.

  1. This post was FASCINATING. I love hearing what's going on - we are way out of the loop. And I would love to be your e-mail exercise buddy if you think it would be motivating. We could set goals and report to each other (I could use some accountability for sure). And we could compare workout videos, and do weekly measurements and compete for "most time worked out" for a week and whatever else we can think of. But, if you need someone live and in person then maybe not. Let me know what you're thinking.

  2. Thanks for the update! The camping trip sounds similar to my first year of girls camp. :)

You should join a class of some sort. Something that you will look forward to so that you can stay motivated. What do you like to do? I'm in ballet and jazz classes in the summer and am hoping I'll be able to continue one of them in the fall. Ballet is nice but Jazz is just so much fun! I always look forward to it because I love the music my teacher plays and her style is unique and very fun. (Did I mention fun? haha) I just think it's important to find something you like if you want it to be successful.
